Synopsis
The story takes place in Seoul, 2011. Lee Yoon Sung is a talented MIT-graduate who's working on the international communications team at the Blue House. He encounters dangerous situations while solving a variety of cases, both big and small, for people who need his help, and eventually becomes a "city hunter."

Episode 12 synopsis/recap/summary:
Nana is in Yoon Seong’s arm when ahjussi comes in with a block of wood ready to attack people, only to find that the people are already on the floor. He sees Nana and Yoon Seong in the corner and phones a doctor. Jong Shik is informed that Nana, ahjussi has escaped and wonders whether it was City Hunter that helped them.
They arrive at Soo Hee’s vet and she tries to treat Nana’s wound. Nana wakes up and Yoon Seong is relieved. Soo Hee tells him that they should go to a proper hospital because Nana is loosing a lot of blood and they have no blood to give her. Yoon Seong offers his blood since he Type O and asks Soo Hee to save Nana.
Before Soo Hee operates her to remove the bullet, she tells Yoon Seong to not worry about her because she is tough and Yoon Seong holds her hand. After Nana’s operation, Yoon Seong watches her as she sleeps on the couch. Ahjussi tells him to rest since he lost a lot of blood and he might collapse. Yoon Seong asks him “What kind of person is she?” “How can she be so fearless” He then says “Right now, I’m worries I won’t be able to do this anymore”
In Yoon Seong’s house, he carries her to a bed and Nana asks him why she has to be there. He tells her that if she goes to her house, Kim Jong Shik will be able to find her identity. Ahjussi calls Nana’s work, saying she can’t come to work because of an injured waist. He then asks her what kind of porridge she wants and Yoon Seong says “Just give her anything. She eats anything” and says it is his way of treating her better. When Yoon Seong leaves ahjussi and Nana to get some clothes, Nana asks ahjussi why he changed his testimony, so he tells her the truth (he was on probation for gambling and Jong Shik threatened him). She then asks him how he know Yoon Seong and he tells her that he saved his life in Thailand and that he told him to look after her when he came back to Korea because he was worried about her.
Yoon Seong tells ahjussi that the money that is in Kim Jong Shik’s house has not been moved. Ahjussi decides to read a home shopping magazine and tries to turn on the light. It doesn’t turn on so he checks the bulb and sees the tracking device which Sang Gook had put. He tries telling Yoon Seong without saying anything but Yoon Seong is like “What? What?” so he shows it to him. Meanwhile, Sang Gook and Jin Pyo knows that Nana took the bullet for Yoon Seong. Sang Gook says that it shows their relationship isn’t ordinary.
Yoon Seong makes his way to his dad but he hears him say “I’ve told him so many times not to fall in love with anyone. Since Yoon Seong can’t end the relationship himself, I have to step in and help him” “Of course, we must get rid of her”. He is about to enter but then hears then talking about finding his mom before he know that she is missing. He also hears Sang Gook asking whether they really had to tell Kyung Hee that he is dead. Yoon Seong hears Jin Pyo tell Sang Gook that he took Yoon Seong from his mom and crossed a bridge not to return.
Yoon Seong enters the room and asks his dad why he lied and he replies with “Because that’s our fate”. He continues by saying if he didn’t take him, Yoon Seong would be living an ordinary life and that whenever he looks at him, he remembers his colleagues that died 28 years ago. This makes Yoon Seong throw things off the table and say “You took a pitiful child away from his mother and and you’re saying it’s all for your revenge?” “You ruined my life like this! Even if I die, I will never be able to forgive you. His father says “You will not win over me” and Yoon Seong says “No. You are the one that can’t beat me, Father” He warns his dad that if he touches ahjussi, his mom and Nana, he will not be able to forgive him. All Jin Pyo does is smile.
Yoon Seong sits outside his door and thinks of the time when he carried his mom and when she was in hospital. Nana tells him that she is leaving. She says “This time, I will really disappear from your life. I promise. I will return to the time when we didn’t know each other. Saving you life is paying you back with what I owe.” Just as Nana is about to walk away, he grabs her wrist, asking her not to go, but she still walks away. He then follow her and hugs her from behind.

Jin Pyo is remembering the time when Mu Yeol died and says “I will seek revenge until the end. Those who get in the way, I will kill them all, even if it’s Yoon Seong”. Kim Jong Shik instructs Mark, a bodyguard, to find ahjussi and Nana again. He thinks that if they get hold of them, City Hunter will appear. Mark tells him that Nana is a Blue House security guard.
Nana is looking at the bandage covering her wound when Yoon Seong comes in, telling her that he is going to change the bandage. While he does so, she asks him if he has any friends when he was in Thailand and he says that there was a girl that was like her who liked it when he touched her. Nana then says that she doesn’t like skinship, and “Of course, today is an exceptional circumstance” Nana asks him if he really is going to get rid of Kim Jong Shik and he says that it is not her business. But she insists on helping him because Kim Jong Shik is also her enemy. She says “I’m not going to let you take risks alone anymore”
Nana brings coffee to Yoon Seong who is working in his office. She sees what he is doing and says that they should work together. She says that she will find his mom and she wants him to help her hack into the hospital network. After some pestering from Nana, Yoon Seong gives in and tells her what she need to do. Eun Ah and Gi Joon are having coffee together. Eun Ah is wondering whether Yoon Seong and Nana planned to leave work together to go somewhere to play. But Gi Joon says that Yoon Seong has high standards. Suddenly, the head of IT department comes, wanting Gi Joon to persuade Yoon Seong to come back. Since they are not able to get through by phone, they go to his house.
Ahjussi, Nana and Yoon Seong sees then through the camera so Yoon Seong tells Nana to hide upstairs and ahjussi not to get nerve and sweat. The section chief explains that he cannot accept Yoon Seong’s resignation. He says that he has stopped many hacking and Gi Joon says “I’ve stopped hacking as well” and the section chief says “In the end you were the one hacking” Ahjussi comes in with fruits and is mesmerized by Eun Ah and sits next to her. As the section chief asks whether he thing Yoon Seong should leave, he gives Eun Ah a piece of fruit and sits closer.
Eun Ah wants to take a tour of the house so ahjussi and Yoon Seong say “No way!” at the same time, but she still goes and Yoon Seong follows. Nana sees Eun Ah coming so she hides behind a bear, but is still exposed. Eun Ah looks at Yoon Seong’s watch collection but suddenly turns around so Yoon Seong jumps in onto a chair in front of the bear to cover Nana. He tells Eun Ah that the best room is the bathroom and after Eun Ah leaves, he turns to Nana and winks at her. (AHHHH!! ^.^)
Sang Gook tells Jin Pyo that Yoon Seong has attached a tracking device in Kim Jong Shik 200 billion won and he plans on talking the money when it gets moved. He says that they will send it to Young Joo. Yoon Seong knows that his dad probably knows about the 200 billion won. Nana asks if his dad knows he is City Hunter and he says yes. She then asks whether his dad was the one who killed Lee Kyeong Wan. While some students are having a protest about high tuition fees, Kim Jong Shik comes in saying how he will try his best to fix and etc.. and pretends to feel sorry for them. Yoon Seong heres to officers talking about a Chairman asking if his phone is being tapped and that the next thing he will ask them is whether there is a hidden camera.
While the officers are checking for any phone tapping in Jong Shiks room, Jong Shik asks what time his dental appointment is. We then see Yoon Seong deliver a false tooth and dental equipment at the dentist where Jong Shik is going. Yoon Seong and Kim Jong Shik meet and Yoon Seong just smirks as Jong Shik goes in to get his false tooth. Pil Jae tells Young Joo that Lee Kyung Hee disappeared the day they visited her and we see Kyung Hee in a religious place. Young Joo goes to the Blue House to get records of Mu Yeol but there aren’t any.
While Yoon Seong is driving he receives a text from Nana asking him to help her get clothes from Soo Hee. He goes there but as he opens the door slightly, he sees a man asking Soo Hee if she knows Kim Nana. So Yoon Seong goes to a department store looking for clothes which can be worn at home. He then starts picking out clothes, one after the other. Yoon Seong gives the clothes to Nana who says “How can I wear these at home?!” She then tells him that Young Joo is Long Leg ahjussi and says whether he could help them but Yoon Seong tells her that he is tracking him. Ahjussi comes in with shampoo but looks like soap, asking Nana if she wants to use it. Nana said she would but she isn’t able to wash her hair because of the pain. Ahjussi offers to wash it for her, but then Yoon Seong says that he will do it.
So Yoon Seong washes Nana’s hair. While he is doing so, Nana starts throwing bubbles at him and they have a fight. Nana comes into Yoon Seong’s office, wearing a the dress Yoon Seong bought her. They both listen at Kim Jong Shik’s conversation. Kim Jong Shik meets with Lee Kyung Hee as she is the anonymous donor. Kyung Hee gives the password to an account which contains one billion won which she saved plus money from Jin Pyo. Kyung Hee says her name and Yoon Seong hears it so he goes off. After Kyung Hee leaves, Jong Shik puts the password in his blazer and puts money inside brief case.
Yoon Seong doesn’t see his mom who is just behind him. He returns home and says that they will definiately get Kim Jong Shik and the 200 billion won. Ahjussi says that even though Yoon Seong doesn’t say it, he misses his mother a lot. Nana asks ahjussi to tell her about the woman who took care of him, but he tells her that it is better to ask Yoon Seong instead. Jong Shik and his wife are out shopping for furniture and they pick things without even considering the price. Yoon Seong is spying on them, pretending he is taking pictures of the store. The next time Jong Shik and his wife are shopping, Yoon Seong is also there, and heres that there will be package boxes sent to his house.
Young Joo is in his office, trying to work out something about the 200 billion won. Meanwhile, Jong Shik has started putting the 200 billion won is package boxes. As he is doing so, Young Joo comes into his office and sees him in the room, with all the money. Nana comes into Yoon Seong office to bring coffee and wants to listen to Jong Shik’s tapping but he doesn’t let her. Back with Young Joo, he ask his father to return the money while it still isn’t late or to turn himself in. He pleads his father to stop what he is doing but his father tells him that he has come too far to turn back. Yoon Seong says that this is the start of Young Joo’s misery.
The next day, Yoon Seong, Nana and ahjussi go to where the tracking device stopped. Yoon Seong plans to get the money and return it before his father gets hold of it. They knock out the driver with gas. The driver of the truck containing the money nearly get ahjussi but Nana manages to flip him over the shoulder. As Yoon Seong is driving the truck, his dad and Sang Gook catch up so they proceed with their plan. Ahjussi and Nana overtake Sang Gook, allowing Yoon Seong to speed ahead. Ahjussi escapes before the traffic lights turns red, leaving Sang Gook and Jin Pyo behind.
Sang Gook has once again catch up and the scene is similar to when they Jin Pyo kidnapped Lee Kyeong Wan. Sang Gook drives ahead and stops in the middle of the road. As Yoon Seong approaches them, he speeds up instead of slowing down. But just as he is about to hit his dad, he stops. After hitting Yoon Seong for going against him, Jin Pyo drives the truck. sang Gook and Jin Pyo stop and finds that the truck is empty and Jin Pyo laughs.
Kim Jong Shik is informed that the money has been stolen. Yoon Seong, ahjussi and Nana are happy with the money and they start sorting them into boxes in order to return it to the people that needs them. The students receive the box with a note from City Hunter, making them all happy. Yoon Seong and Nana go to the supermarket and the woman thinks that Yoon Seong is the groom. As they get out the life, the tomatoes spill and rolls into the car park. Nana goes to pick it up but as Yoon Seong tries to go out, the doors lock. Jin Pyo comes riding a motorbike towards Nana.
